On July 12, 2008 we will depart Munising, Michigan on our cycles headed west. We expect to arrive in the coastal city of Portland, Oregon four weeks later. The purpose of this trip is to be a fundraiser and an awareness tool for breast cancer. We seek not to call attention or fanfare to ourselves, but rather to our cause.
It is our goal to raise $20,000 for the Eric R. Beverly Family Foundation. The money will be used to make grants available to Upper Peninsula of Michigan residents facing breast cancer and also to community organizations seeking to implement or expand programs designed to make a positive difference in the fight against breast cancer.
It is our hope that our mission will have a positive impact on the lives of others and bring encouragement to individuals and the families of those facing this disease. It is also our hope that those we encounter along our path will find it in their hearts to help support our cause and help us to obtain our goals.
